Frequently asked questions

What do I need for a live stream mat class?

During class, you may need:

  • A mat or something soft to do your exercises
  • 1 x large and 1 x small towel
  • Cushion
  • Ball (eg tennis ball)
  • Elastic (or something stretchy, like a pair of tights or leggings)
  • 2 x hand weights (2 x bottles of water/cans/jars)
  • A chair or stool
  • Good Internet connection
If you don't have any props yet, you can still participate without!

How do I join a live stream class?

To join the class:

  • You will receive an email with a link to the class via Zoom. You do not need to install Zoom on your device.
  • Click on the link in the mail.
  • When joining the class, please open the Chat Window /Conversation and type your name - this is so we can record attendance of all participants.
  • Position your device where it shows you clearly and the instructor can visually correct you (if you want to be seen), and be sure you can see the instructor on the screen in a place where you don't need to keep turning your head.
  • Use the biggest screen possible - laptops are better than phones. The best way is to cast /mirror your device to a TV.
  • Turn audio on or wear wireless earphones. Check your audio in advance as this will be the most important to hear us clearly.
  • Be sure you have a safe space of 2 meters by 2 meters.

What do I need for an Apparatus class?

Bring water and wear confortable clothes for your workout. You can either exercise with bear feet or wear sticky socks for a good grip on the machines. You can bring a towel for yourself after the workout but there is no need to use a towel on the machines as we disinfect the machines after each workout (see sanitary measures).

I have never done Pilates before. What course should I choose?

You can sign up for a Pilates Mat class level 1 if you are used to exercise. We recommend you highly to take a private class so that we can talk about Pilates concepts, your objectifs and make sure that you have the base for a collective class. Please contact us by mail or phone if you want to do a first private class.
